About Atex

Built on site, not in a boardroom.

We're the team at the gate when a site goes live, handing over devices, walking the patrol route, and building the software that keeps the shift honest.

01, The backstory

We come from the industry we build for.

Atex started in 2020 inside South Africa's security and services industry, not next to it. We watched good operations bleed hours into paper registers, buddy-punched clock-ins and radios that died past the gate.

So we built the thing we kept wishing existed: one platform for attendance, patrols, radio and access, and a team that shows up, equips the site, and stays on the line long after go-live.

Today Shepherd runs hundreds of operations. And every feature still starts the same way: standing on a site, next to the people who'll use it.

Boots on the ground

We install, walk the routes and train the teams ourselves. The ground truth designs the product, not the other way around.

02

Equip, then empower

Contract signed? We supply the devices, cameras and access control, delivered, installed and live before day one.

Support is real people, around the clock. If a site is awake, so are we.
